This is the view of Clodagh Murphy, Director at broadband provider Eclipse, who stated cloud computing “is the future” and companies should be looking to embrace its possibilities.
“If small businesses embrace the likes of hosted exchange or hosted email then it can free up money in their business as it is more cost-effective and it also covers less scope,” she advised.
Ms Murphy explained cloud services are rentable on a monthly basis, which means costs can be managed effectively due to the flexible nature of the technology.
Her comments follow a recent report by analyst Ovum which predicted the rise of the cloud will be one of the most important trends in the field of enterprise IT over the course of 2011.
