The new Sify.com sports an image-based presentation of content with a youthful style. This launch reflects Sify’s fresh focus on simplifying [Sifyfying] information, communication and entertainment for all its visitors while enriching the surfing experience with enhanced visual dynamism and interactivity.
The revamp process began with extensive one-on-one customer feedback on the user interface of Sify.com and market research programs to understand user expectations, market perspective and changing browsing behaviour patterns. Thereafter, new homepage layouts were shared with a wide audience mix across key cities in India to study market acceptance and suggestions. The new Sify.com homepage, born of these feedback processes, has a highly visual style of presentation of data. The spread of content on the homepage has been significantly increased. The new homepage is designed to make the discovery of content, and navigation within the content, easier. The focus is on simplifying [Sifyfying] the content and creating platforms for interaction with social media plug-ins.
Music and fun quotient
Web radio has been introduced on the new homepage of Sify.com. Visitors can turn on or off the online radio while browsing the home page, with a click of the play button. This feature will add music and fun to the browsing experience for users.
Tablet and mobile readiness
Sify has just launched the ‘Sify News’ app for Windows 8 and this is one of 15 applications from across the globe to be featured in the News & Weather category in the Windows Store for Windows 8 Consumer Preview (the prerelease version of Windows 8). The ‘Sify News’ app created for Windows 8 can work on a variety of form factors, especially the new generation of touch devices.
To launch this new look, Sify is currently running a pan-India campaign with a host of above-the-line, print and online marketing activities. A set of 3 television commercials will be aired in genre specific national channels starting from this week. The marketing campaign features the newly-coined tagline, “Sifyfy everything”, to amplify the message that information, communication and entertainment will be provided on Sify.com in the most user-friendly manner.
